The new, patented generation of TerraCare’s central tire inflation system is called TerraCare i-control. Unlike the standard system, this system features a valve unit mounted directly on the rim. The pressure sensor is installed in the rim to enable continuous pressure monitoring. To ensure accurate and rapid data transmission, a wireless module is installed on each tire to relay the measured values to the control unit.

The external hose line is depressurized between control cycles. The position of the valve unit on the rim significantly speeds up the air release process. We rely on tried and tested quality for the rotary joints. Visualization is possible via a display or ISOBUS.

To control the tractor’s tire pressure, the TerraCare central tire inflation system is connected to the tractor’s air compressor. The tire inflation speed depends largely on the tractor’s compressor capacity and, above all, on the tire dimensions. For faster inflation, an auxiliary compressor can also be mounted on or attached to the tractor—the TerraCare AirPower or the newly developed TerraCare Airbumper.

TerraTurn: Extra-flat pivot joints

To ensure that a tractor’s overall width remains unchanged, TerraCare has developed the extra-flat TerraTurn rotary joint. It is based on the same sealing technology as standard rotary joints, but significantly flatter—and therefore particularly suitable for adjustable axles and high planetary gears (the outermost part of the tractor’s front axle). If your tractor is equipped with adjustable axles or very high planetary gears, standard rotary joints will protrude beyond the rim. To prevent this, TerraCare developed this solution using extra-flat rotary joints. Use of the same sealing technology ensures an equally long service life.

Axturn: Internal swivel joints

TerraCare also offers an internal rotary joint for stub and plug-in axles. It is mounted on the axle stub, eliminating the need for external cable routing. For these rotary joints, we also rely on our proven sealing technology with silicon carbide discs.

We offer the internal system only in combination with our TerraCare i-control wireless system, as this configuration allows for an extended service life of the rotary joint.

Connecting line between the tractor, compressor, and trailer. ¾” compressed air hose (connection to the air reservoir, if present) and connection to the brake system’s air reservoir.

ISOBUS control

The ISOBUS option is available as an alternative to controlling the tire pressure regulation system via the TerraCare display. This option allows the TerraCare central tire inflation system to be controlled via the ISOBUS terminal pre-installed in the tractor.

GeoCare: automatic deflation

This system can save a position via GPS. Upon passing this point or these boundaries, it automatically switches to field mode and deflates the tires. GeoCare prevents users from forgetting to deflate the tires and driving into the field with excessive tire pressure.

Maintenance tires

Additional rim connections for maintenance/dual tires. The tire sizes for both sets of tires (maintenance and standard) can be stored in the control unit. This simplifies the changing of tires.

Upon request, the external lines can be designed to be removable. Includes a special coupling for disconnecting the stainless-steel hose.
